Yesterday's 11th comment came from Cathy...congrats! Cathy please contact me at shayward1@cogeco.ca to claim your free 8X10 print from your next session. (All prizes, including the grand prize, must be claimed by January 1, 2010)

Day 6...this picture has a story behind it...I met up with this wonderful family this year and learned of a sweet, beautiful girl who is flying with the angels. We wanted to include Angel Jade in the photo shoot so I came up with this idea:

Jade is the daughter, grand daughter, sister and step daughter to the 4 people in this photo. You can learn more about Jade and her much too short time on earth here:

Tell me what you like/love about this image for a chance to win one of the daily giveaways, as well as the chance to be a part of the big giveaway on the 24th of December!

This picture is a great capture, it tells a story of a lifetime of love. Just beacause you can't see, doesn't mean it's not there!! It's captivating and moving.

I love how you were able to capture Jade as a part of the family. Even though she is no longer here, she will always be a part of the family, never to be forgotten.

I think the tribute to Jade is especially effective since they are looking out over the water, which for me symbolizes a journey.

What a gift you gave! Reading your description, I had tears. Loosing ones child is devestating and here you were able to catch her presence so wonderfully. The family forming her name - what a wonderful way for them to remember her and include her in their family photo. With the beautiful water behind them, so vast, like the love they have for Jade. This is a great photo with so much meaning.

I love that it shows complete unity, although each family member is doing something different. It's a "Rainbow". Each colour is different with different lengths to travel..but all meeting in the same place..... GB Jade

I love that they each have a slightly different pose but that they stand united. Even though they aren't holding hands, this picture evokes that feeling.

reading the story behind this picture left me sitting in a puddle of tears. You captured that a love for a child can go to the moon and back without ever being broken. even tho this little angle is now looking down from above, the loving bond she has with her family will never keep them apart. She will live on forever in their hearts.
