Meet Cecilia, 7 days new

This beautiful little girl's gender was a surprise for her parents! But from the minute they hired me and I saw that they were into Super Mario, specifically Mario, Peach and Toad, I knew I needed to incorporate some of that into the newborn session. Thankfully I know a lot of talented people and called on my friend Traci to help me out. Check out some sneaks from Cece's newborn session:

Meet Mason, 10 days new. He really loved to be nice and snuggled into the wraps I put him in. Naked? Not so much. He has no idea yet but he has the best big sister to grow up with and look up to one day. 

Weddings, Births, Bellies to Babies & The Walking Dead

What do the things mentioned in the title of this blog post all have in common? One AWESOME family who likes to do things a little bit "outside the box" which as a creative, makes my heart happy!

4 years ago, I was asked to capture the wedding of Dave & Ashley Forget....fast forward to this past weekend, we culminated what started as a business relationship ( and is now much more than that), into an epic 1st birthday cake smash session which had a "Walking Dead" theme.

With the help of Just One More Bite Custom Cakes, Little Diva n Dudes and Photo Prop Floors & Backdrops, the cake smash can only be described as awesome :) It was so much fun, no babies were hurt in the process and this sweet family, little girl, and myself all have an amazing event to look back on one day when Harley, the star of the show, is a bit older.

Below you'll find photos from 4 ish years ago, leading up until this past weekend. It shows one of my very favourite parts of my job which is being asked over and over to be a part of and capture some of the most memorable times in people's lives. It's all very humbling and very exciting.

Another Bellies to Babies Package Complete

Just over a year ago, I watched and captured this beautiful little boy come into the world. Exactly a year after his newborn session was completed, he was back in the studio today for his cake smash/birthday celebration session. It's so bittersweet when one of my sweet little clients finishes up with the package but if I know this family as well as I think I do, they'll be back for some spring or fall mini session photos at the very least ;)

Over the years, I've worked with some pretty amazing prop vendors and the shops (and their owners) that I purchase maternity gowns from are no exception. I rounded up some beautiful Moms today, they braved the crazy cold with me, and we got some nice images for the Moms as well as 2 of my favourite vendors:

Hello! It's been quite awhile since I last blogged but I miss it and have taken note that at least some of my clients do too so I'm back! I can't promise to blog every session individually but will for sure do my best to blog as much as I can.
