Only the crazy amount of snow and cold we've had lately reminds me that it's January. With the amount of shooting I've been doing lately, it feels a bit more like July or August LOL. January is usually a slower time for me photography wise but not this year. Wow.

As time goes on, boudoir photography is becoming more and more popular, and as a photographer, I couldn't be happier. It's always so much fun to get together with a group of women of all different shapes, sizes, ages and come up with some really awesome and sexy images for whatever reason each girl has. Some will give them as a Valentine's Day gift, some a wedding day gift, others a birthday gift....and more and more, women are simply doing it for THEMSELVES. As one of my most recent clients pointed out, we as women, are FAR too hard on ourselves and it's VERY important to take the time to realize how BEAUTIFUL we are. As mothers and wives, we tend to put ourselves last and it's seriously about time we start making sure we take care of ourselves too :)

Just as 2010 ended in an amazing way, 2011 began with this beautiful, BIG boy! Meet Judah (what a great name eh?). He tipped the scales at just under 11 lbs. and when he was here in the studio the other day, many of my "newborn" props didn't even come close to fitting him! He was an angel for us though after a bit of a rough go at the beginning of the shoot (think puking, peeing and other....LOL). Here's some of what we got from him:
I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish off the 2010 wedding season! It was almost exactly a year ago when we shot this adorable couple's engagement shoot in a near blizzard! Their wedding day however was the total opposite weather wise and we even got some amazing shots OUTSIDE without a jacket on, IN CANADA, on December 31st!
