Sweet Jakovi...Brand New! ~ Niagara Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer

Oh little girls...I mean, I love allllll babies but the girls are just so much fun to dress up! This sweet girl let me know at first who was boss and it took awhile for her to settle, but once she did, she was the perfect little model:

Jenilea & Troy ~ Another Girl!

This sweet couple came to me through a friend/client of mine and drove nearly an hour to get here. I was looking forward to the shoot all week because it's been a little while since my last maternity shoot. Jen & Troy are expecting their 3rd baby girl in just a few weeks and we worked to capture this beautiful time in their lives. As you'll see, they were up for pretty much ANYTHING which made for one amazing shoot:

I Heart Faces Week 4 ~ Texture

This week's challenge is textures! I have really learned to love "texturizing" some of my photos lately so I was looking forward to this week :)
I recently did a set of boudoir sessions in time for Valentine's Day and while I don't normally play with texture much on photos that were taken indoor, I felt like this photo looks would great with it:

I Heart Faces 41 ~ Fix it Friday

I think this is the first time I'm actually finding the time to participate in one of the awesome weekly "things to do" over at I Heart Faces.
It's fix it Friday and the whole point is to learn new photo editing tricks from the contributors as they explain how they “fixed-up” the weekly special photo. The really fun part is that anyone else can then all get to play along with the Fix-It too!
The original photo came from a very special family who's story you can read here
Jeff's Caring Bridge

Here's the original image:

And here's my "fix":

The original is such a great photo in itself that I didn't want to do too much to it.
I used PS 7 and did the following:

1- used MCP darker and richer X2 to make things pop a little more
2- then I used Coffee Shop's Vintage Honey action at full opacity
3- I then used the dustclouds overlay from Patti Brown's gallery collection at 50% opacity
4- to add just a bit more light I used the rainbow flare overlay from Patti Brown's light flare collection and dragged it to the top right hand corner
5- lastly I used the abstract edge overlay from the artistic edge section of Patti's Brown's gallery collection to finish things off

Let me know what you think and be sure to check out the other "fix its" at
I Heart Faces!

Sweet Dylan...Brand New! ~ Niagara wedding and lifestyle photographer

This new little man gave me a run for my money during this shoot...never quite staying still or wanting to stay in the positions I wanted him to be in LOL. BUT, he's a beautifully sweet addition to his family and I was so glad to have them all over today for a shoot:

Boudoir Weekend! ~ Niagara wedding and lifestyle photography

After this past weekend's boudoir shoots, I know some husband's who are going to be very surprised and HAPPY with what their wives are giving them for Valentine's day this year!

Boudoir photography is glamorous and intimate portraits celebrating the beauty of a woman. This kind of gift can be given for a variety of reasons: Valentine's Day, wedding, birthday, Christmas or just because. If you want to capture you as you are, and want a truly unique, intimate and very special gift to yourself or someone else, a boudoir session may be just for you! Please contact me if interested!

Anyhow, I've gotten permission from one beautiful gal already to share some pictures, and after Valentine's Day, I will be sharing more:
